“In the front of my church are the words “Honor God, Help People.   I tell everyone that serving my fellow brother and sister is another way to honor the Lord.  I have been involved with PGA HOPE serving as the lead professional since its inception at the Gateway Section.  I was involved with a meeting at the PGA Show in Orlando in 2011 with Ali Wells and Josh Riley where we were surrounded by numerous veterans and heroes (some with artificial appendages) and men and women that were very involved with serving them and walking away from that meeting I was in with all heart.  We began the PGA Hope program that following spring at the JB VA gym.  As an Air Force brat whose dad was a flight nurse, who ended up marrying a Air Force flight nurse and having served as a golf professional at a military installation for over 12 years I have a passion for serving proud men and women that have given so much to this country and have received so little in return.” – Brian Maine

“I am very active at St. Louis Family Church with my wife as a greeter and we serve with the vacation bible school every summer with our JUMP camp.  We usually see up to 6000 children from all over the St. Louis City and County in a two week period.  We are very involved with Build a Bag program that distributes food to the 9th and 27th Wards (I believe). We also try to serve in any compacity with Service International, our disaster/service relief wing.”
