Each year, the Gateway PGA REACH Foundation awards a deserving student with the Clarence Voigt Scholarship in memory of the late Clarence Voigt.  Clarence was a PGA Professional with a passion for junior golf.  The scholarship is awarded to students who have shown a commitment to the classroom, the game of golf, and carry themselves in a fashion similar to Clarence.  We are honored by the generosity shown in Clarence’s name and are proud to recognize the 2017 scholarship award winner: Tyler Goebel!

Tyler is a tremendous student-athlete by not only excelling on the golf course, basketball court, and baseball field, but in the classroom, as well.  He made the National Honor Society all 4 years of high school, where he attended Mater Dei Catholic High School, and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.92.  In addition to the hours dedicated to his school work and athletics, Tyler commits himself to volunteerism and can be found serving as a Big in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri organization, local nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and cooking for Cosgrove’s Kitchen.

Tyler will attend, and play golf for, McKendree University beginning in the fall of 2017.

Join us in congratulating Tyler Goebel!
